Occupational Therapist – $55/hour
Maricopa, AZ

This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position. Shifts are 8 hours from 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to identify occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders, clinical findings, and patient goals.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve residents’ strength, coordination, mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), and overall independence.
• Provide therapeutic activities and exercises focused on improving functional abilities, including dressing, grooming, bathing, transfers, and other daily activities.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to support optimal outcomes.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, participate in discharge planning, and provide education to residents and families regarding safety, adaptive techniques, and home exercise programs.
• Recommend and assist with the use of adaptive equipment and other strategies to improve residents’ independence and quality of life.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, PTAs, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards, facility policies, safety requirements, and infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• Arizona State Board of Occupational Therapy License
• Successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
