Medical Consultant – Part-Time Contract
Pay: $90.90/hour
Project Duration: 6–12 months
Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week; must be available for after-hours calls as needed
Location: Oklahoma City, 73102
We are seeking an experienced Medical Consultant (MD or DO) to provide medical oversight and consultation related to tuberculosis (TB), infectious disease, and public health. The physician will assist with diagnosis, treatment, patient monitoring, and clinical recommendations while collaborating with healthcare professionals throughout the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical management and consultation for active and suspected TB cases.
- Review X-rays, laboratory results, treatment records, and clinical documentation.
- Prescribe and monitor TB treatment and manage potential complications.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support TB prevention, education, and public health initiatives.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Unrestricted Oklahoma medical license
- Minimum 5 years of clinical practice and disease management experience
- 5+ years of TB diagnosis and treatment experience preferred
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to travel as needed and take emergency after-hours calls
