POSITION SUMMARY:
The Shop Custodian position is responsible for the general cleaning of the shop area/ repair bays. The right candidate is skilled at cleaning, committed to quality and accuracy of work performed, and highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
POSITION DUTIES:
• Cleaning and maintenance of the repair bays / mechanic shop/garage, and parking lot (a separate service does the office area, break room, restrooms).
• Changing sweeping, oil and grease removal, lightbulbs, trash disposal, and maintenance of supply inventory.
• Work involves the use of custodial/cleaning supplies and may involve the moving and lifting of heavy objects.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• Ability to work outdoors (dealing with the elements of all weather conditions)
• Safety conscious
• Ability to operate a floor scrubber/polisher preferred
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Ability to get reliably to/from work
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check
