Dietitian – Senior
Pascoag, Rhode Island
APN Staffing is hiring NOW for a Full-Time Dietitian. The hours are 24 hours at the Cranston location and 16 hours in Pascoag (with flexible hours).
This position is contract for at least six months and is not a permanent position with the State of Rhode Island. The hourly rate of pay is between ($40-45 DOQ).
General Responsibilities:
Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy for Medical/LTAC in-patient units
Conducts nutrition screen for patients upon admission and establishes nutritional risk
Completes a comprehensive nutrition assessment for patients, reassessments, and develops individualized nutrition plan of care
Participates in interdisciplinary care planning
Provides recommendation for diet orders, nutrition supplements, and tube feeding regimens
General Requirements:
Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) & must be an active Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Rhode Island
A thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of dietetics including nutritional requirements of individuals of varying ages and physical conditions, basic and therapeutic diet planning, and food preparation and service; and related capacities and abilities
Graduation from a college of recognized standing with specialization in nutrition and dietetics
At the time of appointment must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties as evidenced by a physician’s certificate
Credentialing is also required for this position, along with proof of Covid-19 vaccination
