Clinical Social Worker
Cranston, Rhode Island

APN Staffing is now hiring for a Clinical Social Worker position in Cranston, Rhode Island. This is a long-term, one year contract, position (with the possibility for extension). Hours for this position are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday, about 35 hours per week. The hourly rate of pay during this contract is $45.00 an hour.

This is NOT a permanent position with the State of Rhode Island, it is contract only.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Diagnosis and treatment of patients or persons in a clinical setting in a hospital
Participate in diagnostic and technical conferences with other team members including medical physician, psychiatrist, physician or program chief, or other professional personnel, for cooperative planning and treatment to meet the needs of patients or persons which involve or include social, emotional, or environmental as well as the medical care
Apply social casework techniques, in collaboration with medical and para-medical professions, in the diagnosis and treatment of patients or persons in a clinical setting in a long term acute care hospital with both medical and psychiatric units with the objective to remove or alleviate social, emotional, or environmental problems of patients and promote their return to a normal and effective pattern of living

General Requirements:

• Master degree in social work or related field including Mental Health Counselor
• Covid-19, credentialing is required for this position
