Clinical Nursing Supervisor

CLINICAL NURSING SUPERVISOR- $113,000 – 158,000 – DOE

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

Mon – Fri 9:00am – 7:30pm ( must be willing to work some evenings with staff and split some weekends)

Ensure the provision of optimum nursing services delivery at the site level through supervision, implantation, and evaluation of Best Practices and key clinical processes. Provide direction and supervision for health care employees such as professional nursing and allied health care staff, as well as overseeing clinical and technical issues. Promotes interdisciplinary and cross-divisional teamwork directed toward customer satisfaction and improved patient outcomes, emphasizing appropriate nursing services in support of organizational/national strategic interventions throughout the continuum of the recovery process.

This is a full-time position. Shift hours from 9:00am to 7:30pm – must be willing to work some evenings with staff and split some weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct clinical processes at the site level to ensure quality care, including defining, refining, updating, and communicating these processes to healthcare professionals and support staff.
  • Implement and train staff on standard work expectations as per regulatory requirements, and monitor clinical processes for improvement opportunities through trends, rounding, and shadowing.
  • Partner with site Leadership Teams to identify, prioritize, and initiate process improvements and patient experience initiatives, while ensuring staff accountability for meeting attendance and mandatory education requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary and national teams, advocating for nursing, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining professional and community relations.
  • Direct and coach healthcare staff to achieve site leadership goals within budget and timeframes, prioritize patient safety, support creative service improvement ideas, and oversee resource utilization and team relationships.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • Current unencumbered RN license in state of practice
  • Minimum 7 years experience in the following areas: acute care or critical care nursing experience, nursing leadership and/or addiction related nursing practice.
  • 2 years freedom from chemical use problems (CA, MN, OR and by state regulation)

Preferred Qualifications

Education, training, licensure, experience, etc.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (3 years additional experience per 1 year of education) or Bachelor’s degree in progress
CARN (Certified Addictions Registered Nurse) certification
Public Health Nurse Certification
